If you ask anyone who knows me, "describe Casey in one word", the response you're going to get is "creative". At the core of who I am, I'm a colourful and passionate artist. I'm always exploring the endless possibilities of my creativity through various art mediums (I paint, I design, I build, I write, I capture, I do it all!) If it's a creative way to express who I am, I do it. I live in Kalgoorlie, a small outback mining town in Western Australia, and my dreams to expand my reach far and wide is what had me launching Chic Webs out into the universe.
Hiya, I'm Casey!
Enter my creative career. At 18, I took the leap and started my own business. I designed logos, I built websites, I took up photography. Then I directed my focus into video production. I worked on a film set, I produced videos for companies quite literally around the world. Now, after many years of testing out as many creative industries as I could, my love for web design still strongly shone through.
As I grew up, the idea of going down a traditional path of school > university > dead-end 9-5 desk job > retirement... yeah that never sat right with me. I needed to leave a creative mark on this world, and when I discovered the world of web design at just 11 years old, I knew I could do just that.

Web designer since 2011
The first time I designed a website, I was 11 years old. I got introduced to online web-building platforms and loved it. To this day, I still have access to my "Pet Rock Club" website and a few other cringe-worthy creations my young brain conjured up.
Whilst I didn't know it at the time, over the next 15+ years I would dabble in website design, learn the ins and outs of what made a good website, and eventually start to get paid for the ones I was designing for other people.
Let's be real, mastering this craft isn't a walk in the park, and honestly, I'm still soaking up fresh knowledge every day. But hey, the thrill of it all keeps me on my toes, and I'm itching to share that buzz with fellow creatives and paint the online world with our magic!
So, I said screw it, I'm going to fix that!
If this website was a reflection of who they were as a business, I was NOT interested.
For my wedding in 2024, I made sure the vendors I worked with would match my creativity and fun-loving personality. As I scoured the internet for like-minded creatives that would make my fairy tale wedding dreams come true, I was hit in the face with soooooo many boring, tasteless and broken websites that honestly gave me no trust in the vendors.
These websites were screaming "don't hire me!", and it kinda made me sad. I knew deep down these vendors had talent, but their websites (or sometimes lack of) were getting in the way of connecting with potential clients.
And here we are today, building websites for those creative businesses out there who are wanting to showcase just how amazing they really are.

I have 3 cats who are my world, and I have the markings of their faces tattooed on my hip.

My current side quest in life: learn bootscootin'. I took this up after recently achieving my last sidequest: learn (and perform on stage) burlesque!

I have been with my soul mate since we were just 16 years old. 10+ years on and we now have a mini us!

I love going flying with my Dad who is a hang glider and microlight pilot.
